WELLINGTON CENTRE TOUENA MENT.
The centre tournament, which commenced on January Ist. but w-as delayed owing to bad weather and the fact of many competitors playing in the Auckland and Christchurch tournaments, is approaching finality. In the section ties played of! yesterday Webb (Wellington) beat Southgate (Petone), and Moult (Wellington) beat Prince (Newtown). The green was heavy after the rain, but some of the heads were really good ones. The progr-|tnme for the rest of the tournament is as follows, all games taking place on the Wellington Club’s lower green : _ To-day, at 2.30 p.m., Dali v. Wylie; Kerr v. Norwood; Magnus v. Moult. At 4.30 p.m., Dali or Wylie v. Kerr or Norwood; Magnus or Moult v. Webb. The final will take place at 4,30 p.m. on Thursday.
