NEW ZEALANDERS ON TOUR,

LONDON, December 19. Dr Henry Darling (New Zealand) has finished ins term as house surgeon at Uie Norwich Hospital. Mr P. H. McDouall, of Oamaru (New Zealand), goes to Devonshire for Christmas. Miss Myra Harty, of Dunedin, who ling been in England for a visit, has left on her return to New Zealand. Dr Redwood, Roman Catholic Archbishop of New Zealand, who has been visiting friends in the United States, is shortly expected in Ireland, where he will stay with the Marist Fathers in Dublin. Miss Coughtrey, daughter of the late Dr Coughtrey, of St. Clair, Dunedin, who has been in Ireland for about a month, is now the guest of the Rev. H. and Mrs Enow, late of St. John’s, Dunedin, and now of Bromley. Mr and Mrs Garrick, of Christchurch, who arrived in Europe in June, spent some time in France, at Cannes, Nice, Mont© Carlo, and Paris. They have been travelling in Scotland, Devon, Cornwall, and the lake district, and have'been motoring in Kent. They leave this week for the winter sports in Switzerland.

Mr Ben Irvine and tho Misses Irvine, of Auckland, who arrived in England in May, leave for New Zealand by the Otway on January 3rd. Tho Misses Irviuo have been touring in Great Britain and the Continent. Mr Irvine has been studying tor the examination of tho Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers, held in London last month, and ho was placed second in the list of successful candidates.

Mr and Mrs Charles H. Poole, who loft Auckland last February, travelled via Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, and tho United States. Thou* after staying with relatives in Minnesota, they went to Chicago, where Air Poolo started platform work, under the direction of the National Chautauqua Association. He spoke in 103 towns, and, during sixteen weeks, delivered 250 speeches. After three months hero Mr and Mrs Poolo Kill return by way of America, where, after speaking for the Y.M.C. Association for a while, Mr Pbole will do another season’s platform work for tho Chautauqua Association, and reach New Zealand from San Francisco about October next.
