At the Australian Jockey Club’s anniversary meeting at Randwick on Saturday the principal event resulted as follows: CHALLENGE STAKES, Of 500 sovs: six furlongs. J. E. O’Brien’s ch c Golden Hop, by Maltster—Aurous, 8 1 Malt Mary, 0 2 Ruby Hampton, 8.6 3 Ten starters. Won by half a length, with a neck between second and third. Time, Imin IJJsec.
