Owing to continued ill-health (states an Invercargill Press Association message; the secretary and treasurer of the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association (Mr K. F. Cuthbortson) tendered his resignation to the directors yesterday. Ho mentioned that ho had occupied tho position for almost thirty years. The resignation was accepted -with regret, and Mr Henrlston Cuthbortson was unanimously elected to the position at tho same salary as his predecessor (X 200) per annum. The H.I.C. notify that their premises will bo closed to-day, but will ho open as usual on Monday, when a summer sale will commence at 9 a.m. and extraordinary price reductions will prevail. Mossana and Co., Hamilton, advertise for disposal 2SOO acres renewable lease. A farm o? SLG acres is advertised for sale by S George Dothan, Customhouse quay.
