THE WEATHER PROSPECTS
GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY, (By the Dominion Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are for unsettled and cloudy weather generally, and rain is probable in most parts of the country. Conditions are still threatening northward of the Dominion, and a tropical disturbance is quite likely to cause heavy rain and strong east to south-easterly winds over tho North Island within the next few days. The barometer has a falling tendency in tho north, but is rising temporarily in the south, with moderate to strong westerly winds.
