Tucker hauled alongside the wharf yesterday morning, and will commence discharging her coals to-day. The steamers Manaw.Vu and Tui. from Wanganui • Jane Douglas, fromFoxtnn ; and Napier, from Blenheim ; will return to port to-morrow. The barque Lutterworth will enter at tha Customs this morning, and berth at the wharf during the afternoon. The steamer Kiwi, for Napier and East Coast ports, Grafton, for Nelson and West Coast ports, and Stormhird, for Foxton, .arc advertised to leave this evening. The Union Company’s steamer Hawea left Auckland at 4 p.m. on the 22nd, reached Tauranga at 5 a.m. on the 23rd, pot away again at 10 a.m., and arrived at Gisborne at C a.m. on the 24th, left at 5.15 p.m., reaching Napier at 4.30 a.m. on the 25th, sailed again at 11.15a.m., arriving in port at Ca m. yesterday. The Hawea sailed again during the evening for Southern ports. The steamer Stormhird arrived yesterday morning from Foxton. She returns to the same port to-night. The steamer Rangatira leaves for Wanganui, Taranaki, and the Manukau this afternoon. The Union Company’s steamer Rotomahana left the Sandridge pier at 7.30p.m. on th*» 17th, cleared Port Philip Heads at 9 p.m,, reaching Hobarton at 4 a.m. on the 39th ; sailed again at 1.30 p.m., arriving at the Bluff at 7.30 on the 22nd. after a remarkably smart passage ; got away at 5.30 p.m.. reaching Port Chalmers at 6.30 a.m. on the 23rd; left at 4.40 p.ra., and arrived at Lyttelton at 6.45 a.m. on the 24th ; sailed again at 4.20 p.m. from Wellington, and made fast to the wharf at 4.30 a.m. on Thursday. The Rotomahana left again at 10 p.m. on an excursion trip to Nelson with about 150 passengers, and returned to port at 10 o’clock this morning. She leaves at noon for Sydney via Auckland and East Coast ports. ARRIVAL OF THE BARQUE ATLANTA. The barque Atlanta, from Boston via the Cape, where she had to put in to repair damages sustained during a gale, arrived off the Heads yesterday morning : the wind during the afternoon going into the sovthard enabled the barque to sail into harbor. She has a large cargo of notions, consigned to Messrs. W, and G. Turnbull and Co., and will bo berthed at the wharf to-day. ARRIVAL OF THE BARQUE LUTTERWORTH, PROM LONDON. The barque Lutterworth, one of Messrs. Shaw, Saville and Co.’s vessels, which arrived off the Heads on Thursday night, was taken in tow by the steamer Rangatira and arrived in harbor at 0.30 a.m, yesterday. The vessel has made an average passage of 05 days from the docks ; she brings 95 passengers, all of whom appeared to be in the best of health. The Lutterworth left Gravesend on the 12fch September, and the Downs on the 14th; beat down Channel against a fresh westerly breeze ; took the departure from the Lizards on tha 17th ; picked up the N.E. trades in lat. 23*36 N. 21.40 W.; sighted Tristram D’Acunha, on the 2nd October, about 10 miles dis tant: thence light variable weather till crossing the 17th, when the S.E. trades were met with, which, however, proved light, and gave out on the 20th ; variable weather was again experienced until 30*2 S. 24*17 W. ; crossed the meridian of Greenwich, on November oth, in lat. of 41 S., where she encountered a heavy easterly gale, which lasted fortyeight hours and then went into the westward ; the easting was run down in 45 S., during which the vessel averaged over 200 per day ; was off Cape Lewin on the 30th November; northerly and north-easterly winds prevailing, the vessel was driven back to the lat. of 51 8.; sighted the Snares on the 19th inst.. and from thence north and north-westerly winds till off Stewarts Island, on the 20fcli; had variable winds for twenty-four hours, and then she experienced the full force of the north-west gale which hul.prevailed on the coast for the past week, the barometer standing at 28*35. Made Cape Campbell on the morning ' o j the 24th and the Heads at 9 p.m.; was taken in by the steamer Rangatira and arrived in harb' or a t 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
