Experienced easterly gale, with high sea, up the coast. The Ilawoa leaves for Auckland and East Coast ports at noon to-day. The steamer Rangatira. from Manukau, Taranaki, and Wanganui, arrived in harbor at 12.30 a.m. ' esterday. >he left Wanganui at 10.30 p.m. on Saturday, anil had strong south-east wind, with heavy ram, through the -Strait. The Rangatira is advertised to return to the same ports at 5 o’clock this evening. 'i he steamer Wakatu left Wanganui at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived here at 11.30 a.m. yesterday. She leaves again this evening for Nelson and Wanganui. „ . The Union Company’s steamer Taiaroa, from Manukau and intermediate ports, arrive * in harbor at 10 a.m. on Saturday. She leaves for Picton and Nelson at 4 o’cl ck this evening. The steamer Huia crossed the Manawatu bar at 7.30 p.m. on Krid*y. and arrived here at 5 a.m. on Saturday. She Lit again yesterday evening for Kaikoura and Lyttelton. The Union C-nnpanv’a steamer Rotorua, from Sydney via Fast Const ports, will arrive in harbor this inorniiu*. and leave again at 2 p.m. for Melbourne and Southern ports. The .steamer Wanganui leP Dunedin at 11 p.m. on the nth: arrived at Ofimaru at 7am. ‘m the 12th; sailed at 3.30 p.m.; reached Lyttelton at 9 a m on Saturday; eft fur Wellington at G p.m., and arrived alongside the breastwork at 5 p in. yesterday. Had hard easterly gale, with heavy sea, during the passage from Lvttelton. The Wanganui leaves for Nelson ami West Coast ports at 5 o’clock this evening. The Union Company's steamer Wakatipu arrived from Lvttelton and Port Chalmers at 5.30 a.m. on Saturday, and sailed again at noon for Sydney direct. The barque Anne Melhuish sailed for Newcastle on Saturday morning, The steamer Patea arrived from Patea early yesterday morning, and returns to the same port at 1 o’clock this afternoon. The steamer Stormbird crossed the Wanganui bar at 5.30 p.m. on Friday, and arrived in port at 11.45 a.m. on Saturday. She left for Foxton during the evening. The Government steamer Stella returned to harbor from her lighthouse cruise round the South Island on Saturday afternoon. 'Hie steamer Kennedy, from Nelson, arrived here on Saturday morning, and left again at 9 p.m. for West Coast. The schooner Aurora, with a full cargo of wool for Mr. K. Pearce, arrived from the Fast Coast at 5 o’clock yesterday evening in tow of the steamer Wanganui. Although hoary weather was encountered on the coast, the round trip has occupied only four days. The Government steamer Hincmoa came round from the Patent Slip ou Saturday afternoon. She leaves this evening with the Northern members of Parliament. The steamer Napier arrived from Blenheim on Saturday morning, and returned to the same port during the evening. The steamers Tui and Manawatu got away for Wanganui on Saturday evening. They return to port tomorrow morning. The steamer Kiwi, from East Coast, arrived in harbor on Saturday afternoon. She returns to the East Coast this evening. The steamer Oroti. with Chiariui’s Circus on board, loft Wanganui at. 9 a.m. yesterday, and arrived in harbor at midnight. During her stay at Wanganui, the Oreti has vndergone a thorough overhaul in her boilers and machinery.
