Messrs, halcombe & sherwill, under instructions from the mortgagees, will sell at Halcombe, Mauawatu, on Saturday, 13th December next— That Valuable Property known as Lash’s Sawmill, situate in the town of Halcombe, within a few chains of the main railway line, with which it’ is connected by a private siding laid with iron rails. The property consists of—1. Steam sawmill, with engine 14-horse power nominal, planing machine, forge, &c.,'with all appliances in perfect working order and good condition, aud capable of an output of from 4000 to 5000 feet per diem. 2. Fourteen working bullocks, with all necessary gear, for which there is ample paddocking oh the property. 3. The right to the timber growing on 160 acres of land adjacent to the mill. 4, Freehold property consisting of 759 acres of land, heavily timbered with totara, matai, and rimu, all in the immediate vicinity of the mill and very easily accessible. The situation of this land, surrounding as it does the town of Halcombe. as well as its excellent quality, will give it a high value when stripped of the forest. This land is covered by first mortgages to the amount of £1750, having 3 and 4 years to run at 9 and 10 per cent. These mortgages will have to be taken over by the purchaser. The property being a complete and compact whole as a sawmill property, will not be divided, but will be sold altogether. The terms of payment are—so per cent, cash, and the balance in equal instalments in six and twelve months ; or, 30 per cent, cash, and the balance in equal instalments in 4,8, aud 12 months, the unpaid balances in either case being represented by bills bearing interest at 8 per cent.
