MINISTERS’ EXPENSES.
The following return of all sums paid to Ministers for house allowance, travelling allowance, or any other payments in excess of salary, from Ist July, 1878, to 31st October, 1879, has been laid ou the table of the Hous e:—
James E. Hevwood, Accountant Treasurer. In the amount of £491 I6s. is included hire of carriages conveying secretaries and natives iu attendance upon the Hon. the Native Minister. In many cases the separate cost is not ascertained.
