MEETING OF CREDITORS.
A meeting of creditors of J. K. Davies, C.E., was held yesterday afternoon at the Supreme Court. Mr. Carroll was appointed trustee. The assets are set down at £3050, and liabilities at £603. After an examination of the debtor, the meeting was adjourned, to enable the trustee to look into the estate, and call another meeting if necessary. A meeting of creditors in the assigned estate of J. T. Duffy was held in the grand jury room, at the Supreme Court House, on Monday. A statement was laid before the creditors by Mr. H. M. Lyon, showing that the assets were valued at £7904 and the liabilities at £5616. Almost the whole of the property was secured to sundry creditors, and it was considered very doubtful whether there was likely to be any balance available for division among the unsecured creditors, as the holder of the first mortgage intimated that by the terms of the will of the original mortgagee he would be compelled to foreclose.;
