Sixth Day.—Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The proceedings opened with prayer ; after which the minutes of the previous day’s proceedings were read and confirmed. Moved by Archdeacon Stock, seconded by Iter 1 . H. S. KTcHor.LS,—That this Diocesan Synod petition the General Assembly to amend the Education Act, so that in all schools established under the Act each school daT shall commence with the reading by the master in the presence of all the teachers and of all the children, all standing, selected portions of Scripture from the Old and Kew Testament, to be followed by the Lord’s Prayer said by tbe master, all standing as before. Provided that any child may be allowed to be absent from such opening service on a request in writing from its parents or guardians. , Moved bv Lev. T. L. TUDOR as an amendment, seconded by Rev. .T.
