The 28th section of the By-laws, passed by the Council of the City of Wellington on the 14th November, 1878, shall henceforth be read as if the following worcU had been originally added thereto (that is to say), except in the case of any licensed hansom cab, the owner or driver of which shall be entitled to charge, demand, receive, and take the sum of One Shilling, in lieu of the sum of Sixpence, in respect of the fare by distance to any point within the district mentioned in Schedule E to the said By-laws.
