Tho mail steamer Zealandia, from Sydney, passed Russell, Bay of Islands, at 0 o’clock this morning, and will arrive to-night- This will make a difference of sixteen hoars in the departure of the outward mails. She jxperienced light westerly winds and fine weather •luring the passage, and arrived off the Bluif last night, but the weather being very thick Captain Sinclair deemed it more prudent not to attempt to outer the harbor, and anchored under Stewart Island until this morning. She sails for Dunedin at 5 p.m. NELSON, Tuesday. Arrived ; 8.50 a.m., Waitaki, from Picton. (per arawata, at the blujf.) BATAVIA, September 10. Tho barque Philipino from Hongkong to Melbourne, put in here, having been ashore on Tokat Reef, Bali Straits, After jettisoning 30 tons cargo she got off without assistance, and then came here to ascertain what damage she had received. The following vessels were in port last night:— Steamers—Hinemoa, Wakatipu, Jane Douglas, and Grafton. Ships Uakaia and Fareora. Barques -Chaudiere, Walmea, and Malay. Brig- Wild Wave. Schooner—May. The Union Company’s steamer Arawata, from Melbourne, with the Suez mail on board, arrived at the Bluff at an early hour yesterday. She will arrive here on Friday morning. The steamer Manawatu sailed for Wanganui at three yesterday afternoon. The schooner Saucy Lass, from Castlcpoint and White Rock, with a cargo of skins and tallow, arrived here yesterday afternoon. The steamer Huia left Foxton at 9 p.m. on Monday, and arrived in harbor at Cam. yesterday. She is advertised to sail for Kaikoura, Lyttelton, and Dunedin at C o’clock this evening. The barque Malay having discharged her cargo of coals, will sail for Newcastle to-morrow. The Union Company’s steamer Waitaki is due here to-day from Picton and Nelson. She leaves for Manukau and intermediate ports on Friday afternoon. Tiie brig Wild Wavs, from Kaipara, with a cargo of kauri timber, arrived in port yesterday evening. The steamer Raugatira left for Napier at 5 o’clock yesterday evening. The steamer Tui left Wanganui at 9.15 on Monday night, and arrived alongside the wharf at 10.30 a.m. yesterday. She leaves for Foxton at 0 o’clock this evening. The steamer Napier got away for Blenheim shortly after 8 o’clock last night, The steamer Oreti arrived from Dunedin and intermediate ports at five yesterday evening, having had a fine weather passage. She left Dunedin at midnight on 12th September, andarrivedatOamaruatS o’clock next morning ; left at 6 the same evening, and arrived at Lyttelton at 2 p.m. on the 14th ; left at 6 p.m. and arrived here as above. The steamer Jane Douglas arrived in port at 7 o’clock yesterday evening, from Kaikoura and Lyttelton. She leaves for Foxton at 7 o’clock to-nigbt. The Union Company.s steamer Wakatipu left Sydney at 5 p.m. on the llth instant; encountered northeast winds with heavy sea until the 14th, when light north-east with calm set in till arrival. Passed Stephen Island at 2 p.m., and arrived in harbor at 9 o'clock last night.
