THE PORIRUA AND PAHAUTANUI MAIL SERVICE.
TO THE EDITOB OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. It is DOW over a nunth since a petition was submitted to me for my signature, praying that the Chief Postmaster (Mr. Butts) would grant a change in the mail service, as the present system is not so convenient as when the mail was carried by Mr, S. Prosser. The hours of delivery under the old system of Prosser's service, was by far the beat arrangement for the residents of these districts. Having such confidence in our chief postmaster, in endeavoring to make the best arrangements for the transmission of mails to meet the requirements of all districts, I trust that he will grant to the petitioners so humble a request. Therefore should the petition not already have been presented to the postmaster, I would urge upon those who have it in their charge the necessity of doing to at once.— l am, &c., F. Gkkee. •
