TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sir, —It is currently reported that the late member fur the Hutt has received the retiring allowance that he was entitled to on his leaving the provincial service, and as I shall not have an opportunity of putting the question to the candidate as a Hutt elector, as I reside in Wellington, I trust some other elector will take the matter up.—l am, &c., Hutt Elector.
