Capt in' Williams* barque G. M. Tucker left Newcastle on the lltli instant; had easterly and westerly winds and fine weather to the 14th, when it chopped round to the southward, increasing to a gale on the 10th, with very heavy sea. Had to heave-to for twelve hours. Made Cape Farewell on Monday ; had westerly winds from thence to arrival in port at 5 p.m. yesterday, making the round voyage in twentyseven days. She will haul alongside the wharf to- ** Another of Captain Williams' colliers, the Sophia E. Luhrs, arrived in harbor last night, left Newcastle in company with the barque Anne Melhuish, bound to Nelson, on the 14th ; had light north-east wind for two days, when it changed to tl\o southward. On the eve of the 19th experienced a terrific southerly gale with high sea. accompanied with heavy hail squalls, which compelled her to heave-to for twelve hours. Made Cap* Farewell on Monday night, and had westerly winds through the Strait. The Sophia E. Luhrs has been only twenty-five days on the round trip. She will be berthed at the wharf to-day.
