The City Council having decided to appoint an HONORARY MEDICAL STAFF for the Hospital, to hold office for five years, APPLICATIONS are invited from Medical Gentlemen of the City who are willing to undertake the duties. The Staff will consist of one Consulting Surgeon, two Honorary Physicians, and two Honorary Surgeons, and applicants must be legally qualified to practice both medicine and surgery, and be registered in New Zealand. Applications, with particulars of qualifications, to be forwarded to Dr. Johnston, the Superintending Surgeon, at the Hospital, not later than Tuesday, the 22nd instant. CHARLES C. Notice is hereby given that on and after this date orders for admission to the Hospital either for in or out patients can only be granted by members of the City Council and Hutt County Council, the Resident Magistrate, and the Chairman of the Benevolent Institute, and by subscribers to tne Hospital funds in the following scale ; £1 Is. per annum, 6 out patients £2 2s. per annum, 1 in and 3 out, or 12 out patients, And so on in proportion to the amount of subscription paid. Local bodies, public companies, and benefit clubs shall be entitled to recommend 1 in and 9 out patients for every £2 2s. of annual subscription. Donation of £25 in one sum to be equivalent to an annual subscription of £2 2s. Recommendations not used during year of issue to be invalid.
