MEETINGS OF CREDITORS.
A meeting of creditors in the estate of Robert H. Elliott, publican, was held at the Supreme Court on Friday afternoon, the object of the meeting being to consider the debtor’s application for discharge. The application was opposed by Mr. W. V. Jackson, who moved the postponement of its consideration for three months. Ah. amendment was,; however, carried granting the application, whereupon Mr. Jackson intimated his intention of opposing the debtor’s discharge in Court. A 'meeting 'of creditors of Matthew McCredie, ironmonger,, was held on Saturday morning, Mr. Alcorn being in the chair. The deed of assignment was assented to, and Mr. Gardiner was appointed a trustee in succession to Mr. Mills,resigned. The remuneration of the trustees was fixed at 5 per cent. \ each on the gross proceeds of the sale, exclnBive of the amount secured to Mr. Mills. The debtor was allowed to retain his household furniture.
