THE WELLINGTON CITY TEAMWAY COMPANY.
TO EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES.
Sib, —I read with interest Mr. W. V. Jackeon's letter in your issue of last Wednesday, respecting the above company. I had, at the meeting he refers to, listened with equal interest to his remarks, and deemed them of sufficient moment to warrant me during the last few days examining the books of the company. The facts thus gathered has shown me that the statements made by Mr. Jackson are hasty and unfounded, and that the balance-sheet for the first year of working is likely to bo of an exceedingly satisfactory nature, and quite up to original expectations. The books show soma strange facts respecting Mr. Jackson’s management, which may account for his hostility to Mr. Travers and other directors, but as these matters, I understand, will come before the annual meeting, when Mr. Jackson will have an opportunity of vindicating himself, I will not enter upon them here. In the meantime, having ample confidence in the directory, I am content to wait their full report at the annual meeting in October.—l am, &c., 4, Shaebhoideb.
