(REUTER’S TELEGRAMS.) ABDICATION OF THE KHEDIVE OF EGYPT. London, June 26. Complying with an order of the Sultan, the Khedive has abdicated in. favor of his son, the heriditary Prince Tewfik. Later, The abdication of the Khedive of Egypt is confirmed. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, in reply to a said that misgovernment was the chief cause of his deposition, and non - compliance with financial engagements had also contributed to it. The Chancellor of the Exchequer has promised to produce the papers at an early date. Melbocbne, Friday, Pastor Chiniquy’s lectures at Hobarton are still undelivered. The authorities are swearing in special constables. The Koman Catholic Bishop has issued an address to the Homan Catholics requesting them to abstain from attending the lectures.
