Arrived ; St. Hilda, from Oamaru. Tim Torca, seven days ou». from Kalpara, bound to Oamaru, ran In for shelter. She left Kalpara in company witli the Eliza and Mary, for Dunedin, and the Clematis, for Wanganui, Tim Soukar, 100 days out from London, has arrived, with 47 passengers.

The following vessels were in port last night;— Steamers Go-Ahead* Sampson, Stormblrd. and Tul. Barques—Loch Ken, Glendovoy, G. M. Tucker, Wild Wave, Sophia R. Lnhrs, and Anno Melhnlsh. Brigs—Clematis, J me, and Robin Hood. Brigantines HI ary Beverley, and Lapwing. Tlio brigantine Lapwing, from Oamaru, arrived in port yesterday morning, and came alongside the wharf. She left Oamaru last Saturday, and carried a south-east breeze with her the most of the passage. •She also reports having seen a full rigged ship with her mainmast gone, off Banks Peninsula. The topsail schooner Owake, from Otago, arrived off the Heads late on Tuesday night. She left Dunedin last Thursday afternoon, and had south-east winds until late the same night, when it veered round to'the north, and continued so until Tuesday night, when it again changed to south-east, carrying her to the Heads, but owing to the thick weather was unable to make out the light, and stood off aruLon until daylight yesterday morning, when she sailed in and came -to an anchor at 11 a.m. She brings 513 casks cement. Captain Lang reports seeing a large full-rigged ship twenty miles east of Banks Peninsula. Her mainmast was gone, and there appeared to be a number of passengers on board, She would in all probability have been the Red Gauntlet, from London to Lyttelton, which vessel has since arrived at her destination, 142 davs out.

The steamer Jane Douglas will not arrive here until to-day, having been detained in Foxton through the severity of the weather.

The steamer Rang/itira left Wanganui last night, and should arrive to-day. Thu steamer Manawatu, from AVanganui, arrived hero at 10.30 yesterday morning. She left Wanganui at seven on Tuesday morning, and took shelter in Ohau Bay from the heavy weather. The Rotorua, from Sydney and Auckland, via the East Coast, is duo here to-day. She sails again tomorrow.

The Stormblrd, from Wanganui, arrived here at 4 p.m. yesterday. She loft Wanganui at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, but owing to the heavy south-east gale took shelter In Ohau Bay, and remained there all night. She loaves for Foxton this afternoon.

The steamer Tui, from AVanganui and Plcton, arrived in harbor at 11 a.m. yesterday. She left AVanganui at 7.20 a.m. on Tuesday (having been bar-bound since Saturday), crossed the bar at 8 15 a.m., arrived at Picton at 7.15 p.m , landed passengers and cargo, aud left again at C yesterday morning, arriving here as above. From AVanganui to Picton, south-east gale with heavy rain and sea; from Picton to Wellington, strong southerly gale, with tremendous sea running. She took Mitchell's English Opera Company from AVanganui to Picton.
