The present Victoria fire and Marine Insurance Company ceases operations on 30th day of June next. The shareholders of the present company, in consideration for their goodwill of the business, will be allowed to take up 40,000 Shares at par. The balance of the Shares, viz., 60,000, are offered to the public of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, New Zealand, and Tasmania, at a premium of £1 per Share, which premium will go to the credit of the new company. A Call of 10s. per share will be made upon allotment, and in three months another Call of similar amount may be made.
