The following fresh tenders were received at the Public Works Office, Wellington, for the Creymouth contract of the HokitikaGreymouth railway : —Accepted : W. Rowe, Wanganui, £8440. Declined ; O'Connor and Gray, Ahanra, £10,351 ; H. Hanrick, Dunedin, £11,084 ; John Maher, Hokitika, £11,170 ; Morgan and Lutzen, Creymouth, £11,829 ; B. J. Mr. Ellaby is the successful tenderer for the conveyance from the Wellington breastwork of 1008 tons of rails and fastenings ex Western Belle, also 3700 sleepers, for the sum of £1579 11s. .
