The Clan Campbell -for Dunedin, and the Zior for Pictou, cleared at the Customs yesterday, They both sail to-day. - The barque Gloria Is still in the harbor. ’. Her master at present is undecided where ho will clear for The ship Pleiades will haul away from the wharf on Tuesday, and sail on Thursday. The steamer Murray arrived at the wharf at 8.30 yesterday morning. She left Nelson on Wednesday night, and experienced line weather across. She took on board as cargo a quantity of wire rope for tho West Co at Coal Mining Company. The steamer Rotorua, from Melbourne via the South, is duo hero to.day- She sails during tho afternoon for Sydney via Auckland and the East Coast. Messrs W. and G. Turnbull's now barque Alexa will shortly leave Poo Chow. Poo with a cargo of tea for Wellington. Tiie brigantine Hannah Broomfield commenced discharging her timber yesterday. The ship Pleiades requires six seamen. An advertisement appears elsewhere informing seamen to apply on board. The steamers Hula and Stonnbird had a good mn up from Foxton yesterday. Tho new boat left about live minutes before the Stormbird, and arrived here about twenty minute? before her. Both steamers tried their best. The water was smooth, and every-; thing favorable to test their speed. On this occasion, however, tho palm must be given to the Huia, though,; according to Captain Wills' own statement. It took i him all his time to draw ahead of his opponent. ’ They both did the distance in a little over eight ■ hours, which makes an average speed of close on ton knots an hour.

Left the Bay of Islands at 8 p.m. the same day, and arrived la Auckland on.. the 17th at 0.30 a.m.; left Auckland on the 13th at 5 p.m.. and anchored off Eangitoto Island at (j p.m. (through easterly gale and heavy thick weather); started again at 1 a.m. on tho 10th, and arrived in Tanranga at 3.30 p.m. same day: left again at 5.30 p.m., and arrived In Gisborne on the 20th at 4 p.m.: left again same day at 5.30 p.m., and arrived in Napior at daylight on the 21st: left again same day at 12.30. p.m., and arrived in Wellington at 0.15 a.m. yosl er iay. Tho steamer Stella, from a cruise round' the Southern lighthouses, arrived at tho wharf at 9 o’clock last n ight. Tho* steamer Go-Ahead left Costlepoint yesterday*, and should arrive to-night.

Captain Williams’ steamer Grafton was hauled off the hard yesterday and moor 1 d to one of the buoys. She sails for Westport during tho week. Tho steamer Manawatn, from Wanganui, is duo hero to-day. She leaves here again to-night, taking tho Wanganui h-otball team, who play against Wanganui on Saturday. The brigantine Enterprise, with a full cargo of timber, arrived in harbor yesterday afternoon, and brought up off tho breastwork, where she will commence discharging to-day.
