AN ERRATIC POST.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES.
Sin, —It would be amusing if it were not nauseating to observe the clumsy attempts by the editor of the Pott to “draw” the Timaru Herald. Scarcely an evening passes now-a-days that the former does not find some highly colored charge against the latter, expressed in language which reminds one of the common street scene of a small urchin sidling up to a much bigger boy and saying, “you ’it me then !” bet the big boy doesn’t “’it” the smaller one, and tins exasperates the latter more and more. Ido not think the Herald is at ail likely to jump quickly at the bait prepared for it, but if it should “rise” presently, it will be interesting to note how well the fisherman bears the shock, and whether ke or his prey may ho said to be “ caught.”— I am, &0,, Casuist.
