(FEB PRESS AGENCT.) Auckland, Friday. At the Pale of Mr. Perkins’yearlings recently imported from Sydney, by Mr. Buckland today, the brown filly Frailty started at 90 guineas, being purchased by Mr. Percival for 125 gs. This filly is engaged in the A.J.C. Sires’ and Mares' Produce Stakes, 1880, and the Hawkesbury Mares’ Produce Stakes, 1880, (forfeits £Blos.), —TheTim Whiffler colt started at and -was knocked down to Mr, Smith. The colt is engaged in the A.J.C. Sires’ and Mares’ Produce Stakes, the Bathhurst, Hawkesbury, Tattersall’s, and Victorian R.C ’a Mares’ Produce Stakes (forfeita£lo 10s.). —The chestnut colt Kenilworth started at 85gs., and the bidding reached 95g5., but the horse was withdrawn at 120ga. Afterwards he was brought forward again at 95g5., but passed in. He is engaged in the A.J.O. Sires’ Produce Stakes, 1880 (forfeits £3). —The Marybyrnong colt started at 60ga., and was knocked down at this figure to Mr. Leonard. He is engaged in the A.J.C. Sires’ and Marcs’ Produce Stakes, the Tattersall's, Bathhurst, and Mudgee Produce Stakes, 1880 (amount of forfeits £9 10s,). —The chestnut colt Vortex stated at 60gs., and was bought by Mr. McGee for 65gs. He is engaged in the A.J.C. and V.R.O. Mares' Produce Stakes (forfeits £6). — The chestnut filly by Old England was bought by Mr. Percival for 49gs. He is engaged in Tattersall’s Mares’ Produce Stakes, 1830. The well-known racers belonging to Mr. Perkins’ were next offered. -Xantippe was passed at 45gs. Pungawerr started at lOOgs., bat was passed at 120gs,—Mr. Leonard has since the sale bought Kenilworth for lOOgs. Dunedin, Friday. For the Forbury meeting on the Queen’s Birthday there is very little doing in the betting market, the favorite double being York and Chancellor, and this has been collared by the stable from books, they being rather sharp this time for the public.

10 p.m. The entries for the Maiden Plate at the Dunedin meeting close to morrow evening, when also acceptances are due for the Hurdle, Birthday, Trotting, Novel, and Tradesmen's Handicaps. Betting ; There is none to apeak of ; the doubles range from 100 to 16 to 100 to 10.

Nominations for the Cromwell Derby, to be run at the club’s annual meeting in December next, close to-morrow evening. The stake is 50 sovs., to which will be added a sweepstakes of 5 sovs. each, and the entries are limited to three-year olds, bred in the Vincent and Lako Counties.
