A meeting of the Waste Lands Board was held yesterday. " Present—The Chief Commissioner, Mr,’. -Holds worth, j Messrs. Bunny, Mason, 1 and Johnston. , : ; . : H - .The minutes of the previous meeting were read arid confirmed. Sohedale,so ( .oflaud sold since the last meet-, ing of the Board was read and confirmed, and a return of the. land sold and ; the amount received for the month of April,was laid .before the Board, showing that land to; the-value of £4XO had been sold. ; ; ■ , Schedule .9, of land' selected under the Land Act, 1873, was read by the chairman, also Mr. Ranger Bydders’ report thereon, when it was resolved that Charles William Roberts was entitled to a Crown' grant .for lands selected by him. • The Chairman read a letter from Thomas Swanton, applying tor permission to transfer sectioni 226, Sanson, to . Thomas Kennedy, which was approved." ' ■ ‘ A progress report.from the Chief Surveyor, Mr. Marchant, was laid before .the Board. The Board then adjourned.:,;..
