In the Assembly last night the Council’s message in reference to the difference between the two Houses on the Parliament Privileges Bill came under discussion, and on the motion of Sir Henry Parkes was expunged from the records of the House. The motion was carried by 23 to 10. A deadlock between the two Houses is anticipated.

She brings the following news from London to April 11 : The details of the Egyptian crisis confirm the previously received telegrams. The Khedive made a statement declaring that his decision to form a native Cabinet was in compliance with a growing, national feeling. The new Ministry shall be responsible to the Council of Delegates, which is to be invested with full powers on the Europeans’ model. The conduct of the Khedive caused a sensation in London and Paris. The feeling in London is opposed to coercive measures, Jbut recognise the necessity of warning the Khedive. The Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs has gone to Paris to confer with the French Government. It is believed that the Khedive is secretly encouraged by an unknown European power.
