In pursuance of a resolution carried at a public meeting held on the ISth of April, at the Star Hotel, a deputation, consisting of the Hon. Dr. Grace, M.L.C., Walter Johnston, Esq., M.H.R, Dr. Newman, and Members of the Provisional Committee, waited on the Colonial Treasurer on the Sth iust. The deputation was informed that upon the formation of a Gymnastic Club, the Government would favorably consider the request for the use of a building site.
