. The £3,000,000 loan, says the Argus, is being accounted far very rapidly. The Government has drawn twice upon the associated Banks for £500,000 each time, and it was out of this sum that the Hobson’s Bay shareholders were paid. A sum of £600,000 was paid to the Hobson’s Bay shareholders in London, and £500,000 had been drawn on account before, making £2,100,000 in all. Minor payments have also been made in Loudon, and altogether there remains £750,000 to be introduced into the colony.
