QUARTER’S REVENUE RETURN.
The land revenue for the past quarter only amounted to £51,209. During |the first halfyear the:sum received was £711,677. The estimate for the year, including the proceeds of the sale of the Waimate Plains, was £1,229,677. Assuming that the proceeds during the current quarter will be equal to those of the past quarter, in round numbers £50,000, there will be a deficit upon this one item of between £410,000 and £420,000. The total treasury receipts up to March 31st, this year, amount to £3,410,557. At thesamj: date last year they amounted to £3,706,985.
