The brig Niagara, from Adelaide, will commence discharging her flour at the wharf to-day. The steamer Manawatu, from Wanganui, arrived at the wharf at 2 p.m. yesterday, after a good passage of 13 hours.

The steamer Star of the South sailed yesterday evening for Picton. The Union Company's steamer Wanaka, from Auckland via the East Coast, arrived In harbor at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon. She called at Tauranga, Poverty Bay. and Napier, leaving the latter place at 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. She sailed again South yesterday evening. The steamer Tul left ‘Wanganui at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, and arrived in harbor at 10 yesterday morning. She left again for Kaikoura and Lyttelton yesterday evening The steamer Go-Ahead, from "Wanganui, arrived at the wharf at 10 o'clock yesterday morning, having experienced a rough passage. She left Wanganui at 0.20 p.m. on Wednesday. On Thursday a heavy gale set In, which rose a nasty head sea, and Captain Dicker put Into Ohau Bay for shelter. Towards daylight the gale moderated, and she arrived here as above.

The steamer Lyttelton, from Blenheim, arrived hero at 11.30 yesterday morning. She crossed the Blenheim bar at 3 a.m., and experienced fine weather across.

The topsail schooner Pelican, from, Oamaru, with a cargo of general produce, arrived In harbor yesterday morning after a fine run of 35 hours. She hauled alongside of Pliraraer’s wharf, and will commence discharging »o-day.

The barque Anno Melhuish left the harbor yesterday forenoon, bound to Newcastle. The steamer Jane Douglas, from Foxton, arrived here at 0 a.m, yesterday. She left on Thursday, at 5 p.m. She reports the steamer Hula aground in tho river. Both vessels were going up together when a dense fog settled down close to tho water, and it was Impossible to see where the vessel was heading. Both steamers got on tho bank, but Captain Fraser was more fortunate than tho master of the Hula, and managed to get his vessel off and continue his course. An attempt was made by tho Jano Douglas to tow off the Hula, but tho trial was unsuccessful

Tho steamer HLnemoa, with his Excellency the Governor and suite, loft last evening for the South. Tho steamer Go-Ahead, for Blenheim, left last evening. HALS. Emerald leaves to-day for tho Auckland Isles on a cruise.

Tho Stormbird is due hero to-day from Wanganui. The New Zealand Company chartered steamer, the Stad Haarlem, arrived from Lyttelton yesterday morning, and was berthed at tho wharf, under tho charge of Pilot Slrams, without tho slightest hitch of any kind. She left Lyttelton at 2pm. on Thursday, and arrived at tho Heads at 7 yesterday morning, A largo number of persons congregated on the wharf to see her come alongside. Several of the police force were In attendance to keep tho gener l public from boarding her until next week, whon she will bo thrown open for any ono who likes to go on board. Wo gave a full description of tho vessel in Thursday's issue, so it is unnecessary to say more about her. She has about 1000 tons of cargo to discharge hero, and will not leave until Wednesday. Tho time-table issued by the manager of the Union Steamship Company for April, by furnishing as it does a table showing the distances in nautical miles between tho various ports of call of the company s steamers, affords tho following information as to tho services performed by twelve vessels belonging to tho “red funnel" at present employed in tho coastal and intercolonial trade From the Ist to tho 30th of April no loss a distance than 21,472 miles is traversed on tho coast of Now Zealand by tho company’s boats, and 17,724 miles between Australia and Now Zealand.
