Pebread, Esq., Foxton BANKERS : The Bank of New Zealand, Sanson. SOLICITOR and secretary; Jno. Prior, Esq., Sanson. This Company is formed for tho purpose of instructing, under the provisions of the Disict Railways Act, a line of railway from arnarvon junction to Sanson, a distance of i miles 60 chains. The district through which the proposed lino ill ran, is admitted by all competent judges i he some of the finest agricultural laud in ie colony, large quantities being annually •oken up ; there being at the present time a msiderable area under crop. There is also itensive bush land in the vicinity of the proved line, containing first-class timber. The line will open direct communication ith the port of Foxton, and ultimately extend , Greatford Station on the Wanganui railway, asening the distance from Foxtoa to Wanmui by 22 miles, and will doubtless become portion of tho main line from Wellington to ie North. The promoters have confidence in predictg that the proposed line will be a lucrative vestment, as, outside stock and timber, largo lantitics of grain and other produce must pass • er it. The passenger traffic would also he conderable, and when the extension to the reatford Station is formed, by far the larger rrtion, if not the whole, of the through •affic would use the line, it making a fferoace of ss. 6d. in a single first-class and 5. Bd. second-class ticket from Wanganui to oxton, besides a saving in time of two hours. The line being once formed, the quantity of md at present annually broken up would ho really increased through the facilities afforded y railway transit for grain. Tim greater porou of the country through which the proosed line runs is settled upon by a thrifty opulation. The promoters have little doubt that the rorkiiig of the line will realise a handsome rofit, beside the security of the guarantee of per cent, under the District Railways Act. The line will he formed upon a portion of he road the whole of the distance (about 13 riles); consequently no land, with theexcepion of that required for stations, will be purhased, thus enabling the Company to contract the line upon exceptionally favorable inns;, in fact, little or no cost will be incurred "eside’s the formation, which will be of the asiest, there being no cuttings of any importnce necessary. TheGoverumenthavingordered alarge quanty of rails from England at a low rate, have gnified their willingness to supply the Comany with superior rails for the proposed line t actual cost price, which offer the directors ave resolved to accept. The Government have undertaken to work re line upon terms sufficient to cover working xpenses and wear and tear of rolling stock. Shares have already been subscribed ir in the district.. It is the intention of the roviaional directors to close the list on the . Early application bould therefore be made by intending sharcolders. - , Prospectuses, with forms of application for hares attached, can be obtained at the offices f the Bank of New Zealand, Foxton and ianson, and at the Manawatu, Ilo'ald office,
