Batching, Esq., to sell by auction, at bis Clarendon Stud Farm (29 miles from Dunedin on the Main South line of Railway), on Friday, 18th April, 1879, at 12 o’clock—--6 bead of pure Hereford cattle, consisting of cows and heifers by the celebrated bulls Lord Panmure and Duke of Connaught; and a three-year-old bull by Duke of Kent, dam heifer 93. 50 pure-bred Clydesdale mares, colts, and fillies, got by Ivanhoe and Sir Colin. 10 first-class hacks, young, well-bred, and sound 300 pure-bred merino rams, guaranteed to have been bred from the purest portion of the stud flock of the late W. A. Tolmie, Esq. 121 pure-bred Lincolns, mixed sexes Mr. Kitching having purchased the Clarendon Estate (near Waihola) specially for the purpose of breeding his pure stock, has determined to hold annual sales by auction, the first being held as above, thus giving the public an opportunity of obtaining a portion of the blood which has cost him so much time, trouble, and expense in bringing to perfection.
