Matheson Brothers, to SELL BY PUBLIC AUCTION, In the Long Room of the Grosvenor Hotel, Timaru, on FRIDAY, 21st MARCH, At 2 p.m., That Magnificent and Compact Property known as SIMONS’ PASS STATION, McKenzie Country, Comprising—--29,000 acres first-class pastoral country, being runs Nos. 186, 187, 221 1,050 acres freehold, with 13,000 prime merino sheep, cattle, and horses. The run is very easily worked, being capitally fenced, and subdivided into four large paddocks, together with a number of smaller paddocks about the homestead, laid down in English grass and cultivated. The station buildings, which include woolshed for twelve shearers and good dwellinghouse of eight rooms, are in first-rate order, the latter having a fine garden and orchard attached. The plant necessary for the effective working of the station is complete and in thorough repair. The live stock is in splendid condition, the sheep having been carefully culled periodically for a series of years. Terras liberal. The Lincolns are from pure ewes and rams imported.from England, and the Leicesters are out of Lord Polwarth ewes, and by rams bred by the Rev. Mr. Bosanquet, Northumberland. Also, from Oastlerock Station, The first draft from his pure flock of the Romney Marsh breed. ' The ewes were purchased from the late Dr. Webster when he sold out, and the ram was first and champion at the West of England Show held at Hereford in 1876, and considered the best of the breed seen for many years.
