For some time past large quantities of Newcastle, England, coal have been imported into Boston at lower freights than coal is often brought into that port from the Pennsylvania mines. This arises from the closing of the Russian grain ports,, whereby steamers are diverted into carrying American grain to Europe, and bringing coal here, which sells at 3dol. 80c. a ton.
