ST. PAUL’S CHURCH.

TO THE EDITOR OP THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sin, —-Haying seen many letters in your paper Of late on church matters, I take the liberty of addressing you on what seems to me a matter of very grave importance to churchgoers, particularly the worshippers attending St. Paul’s. It was a praiseworthy act to relieve Mr. Harvey for a time of his arduous duties for the purpose of recruiting his health. Are we to overwork our present clergyman, who is,not very strong, having recently recovered from a severe illness ? or would it not be more judicious to put our heads together and see how some assistance might be rendered ere it is to late. An attentive listener to Mr. Thorpe’s preface to his third sermon yesterday, will see the necessity of something being done, and that at once,— I am, &c., E. Wilson.
