The following are the duties collected at the Customs yesterday
illy « • ww I u The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report that there was a pood attendance at their wool aalo yesterday, and the late prices ruling were fully maintained. The biddings were spirited, and tho whole catalogue, except three or tour lines, were disposed of. The current rates obtained were— Inferior locks and pieces. 2d to 3d; greasy cross-bred fleece, 6d to BJd; merino, none offered; sheepskins, full wool, sd; lambskins, Od each; pelts, 3d; hides are unsaleable except at reductions on late rates. George Thomas reports Flour (Adelaide), £l4 to £ls, scarce; colonial. £lO to £lO 10s; oats, new, 4s to 4s 3d; bran. Is; wheat scarce, inferior fowls, 3s Od to 4s; hams. Od; bacon. 8d; cheese. SJd to 9d; maize, 6s 6d to 5s Od; pollard, Os Od to 7s; potatoes scarce, 00s to 100 s; butter dull, 9d.
