MISS AMY SHERWIN.
Perhaps it is hardly necessary to point out that Miss Amy Sherwin is to take her benefit to-night, when her present engagement terminates, and when she will make her last appearance in secular music. To say that those of the Wellington public who have patronised her have been delighted by her highly cultivated sweot voice is hardly praise enough. She has charmed and surprised all, and we should be pleasedtoeeehergre.it natural and acquired abilities recognised this evening by a full house. In addition to Miss Sherwin Signor Pompei is to appear. The Signor is a finished singer of far more than ordinary merit, and when in concert with Miss Sherwin his grand voice is heard to great advantage. An abstract of the programme appears in another column, and will be found to contain some choice selections. To-morrow evening a special concert of sacred music will be given.
