Entries must be made to the Secretary, at the New Zealander Hotel, Manners-street, Wellington, as follows ; Maiden Race; 100 yards, 20l yards, 440 yards, Handicaps; Steeple Race, Walking Handicap, and Hurdle Handicap, on or before Wednesday, the 18th December. Handicaps will be declared on Monday, the 23rd December, and acceptances will be received np to 9 o’clock, Friday, 27th December. Entries for the remaining events will bo received at the Secretary’s Office on the ground on the day of the Sports. The races are open to all, and will be run under the Rules of the Society. Nominators must state colors at time of entry, as well as their Post Office address. The time for receiving entries and acceptances will be strictly adhered to. No nominations or acceptances will be received unless rocorapanied with the' proper fees. Pour competitors to start or no third prize, three or no second prize, two or no first prize. The decisions of the Directors, or whoever they may appoint, shall in ail oases of dispute be final. ' 1 No attendance on Competitors will bo allowed under any pretence. In the event of the weather proving unfavorable, the Directors shall have it in their power to postpone the Sports from day to day. Sports to commence at 12 o’clock sharp.
