In these days of “tight money," and consequent apathy in speculation, It was a treat to see the Exchange Land Mart crowded to excess yesterday, when Mr. Macdonald submitted for sale by public auction the valuable freehold and leasehold estates In the city, of Messrs. H. F. Logan, W. J. Roberta, and others. The bidding was eager and spirited, and tho prices realised prove conclusively that the citizens of Wellington hare not lost faith in tho prosperity and great future of their dwelling-place.
