CITY COUNCIL.
NOTICES OP NOTION. The following notices of motion have been given for to-morrow evening’s meeting : Councillor Allen to move for a return showing the amount of money expended in each of the wards from April 1, 1878; also the amount of contracts accepted to dote, and the rates levied from each ward terminating with the financial year 1879._ Councillor Fisher to move, —That it is undesirable that any officer of the Corporation should become a member of a County Council or other political body. Councillor Fisher to move,—That Mr. Climie be engaged as drainage engineer. Councillor Thompson to move,—That the remuneration paid to Councillors who from time to time act on the Wharf Committee be discontinued.
