The Bteamer Wakatlpu, from Sydney, arrived In harbor at 6 o'clock yesterday morning. She left Sydney on Tuesday evening lost at half-past 6, and cleared the Head* at 7. Experienced fine weather all tho way over. The Wakatlpu bring* 400 tons general cargo for all porta, and 99 passengers. She sails South to"day. We ate indebted to Mr. Ponsonby, purser, for files, &c. The Claud Hamilton, for Melbourne via tho South, left last evening. The Taupo left yesterday afternoon for Auckland via the East Coast. 1 Tho Lyttelton left last night at 8 o’clock for tho scene of the wreck of the Southmiuster, to bring what cargo la ready for transhipment. The Jane Douglas does not leave for Foxton until to-day, . , . .. ■ The Taiaroa left yesterday afternoon, taking tho place of the Wellington, which has gone to Manukau.
