A NEW INDUSTRY.
TO THE EDITOR OS' THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES.
Sib, —The prospectus of the Gladstone Exploitation Company is highly suggestive. Could not the colony exploiter Sir George Grey ? Oh for an hour of Vogel! He would know how to manage the matter, and bring in grist to the mill, and recoup the outlay Sir George has cost the colony. I am afraid the scheme cannot bo made a poblio and colonial one without a vote of the House and an Appropriation Act, and as it is doubtful whether such an Act would pass unless introduced by the Premier himself, it may be as well for promoters of companies to consider the question of the preparation of a prospectus and other preliminary arrangements r a tour through the Australian colonies and the United States should form part of the programme.—! am, &c.,
Speculator.
p.g.—l will take a sixpenny share on limited liability. By tho way, is the word “exploiter" acclimatised in English * Can Sir George be asked to exploit bis exploits, or must we re. tain the French form of expression t
