* Means &c. t Means for same month previous fourteen years. Notes.—Generally fine up to 13th from N.W., though strong wind on sth. Bth, 9th, and amounting to a gale 10th, 13tb, and 15th ; remainder of month showery, with an occasional fine day, ami at times fresh breeze, chiefly from N. 8.; tho m«x. rain recorded on 27th, I'3Bo inches ; thunder and lightning on the night of 26th, with strong N.E. wind and rain. On the whole an unpleasant month for the time of year. Tho max. temp, in shade was 68*5, and the min. 44 3, R. B. Gore.
