In regard to amusements it may bo said m Wellington it never rains but it pours. For some time the theatres have been empty, but now wo have a tolerably strong dramatic company in each, and competition for public favor is very keen. Early last week Miss Sherwin, a talented young lady from Tasmania, a concert. She is tho first colonial born artist who as yet appeared as star in an eperatic company, and is now cn route for Europe, where she is going to study. There was ft large audience at her concert, aud overyoao was delighted with her.
