(PER press agency.) Dunedin, Saturday. The Dunedin Jockey Club spring races were continued to-day. The attendance within the stand and enclosure was not so large as yesterday. The followingare the results:— HURDLE RACE, Of 00 sovs. Second horse, 10 sovs. Two miles and a distance. Mr N eilson’s Te Whetu, list 121 b 1 Mr Gourlay’s Kildare, OstSlb 3 Mr Phipps’ Camellia, lOst 3lb .. .. .. .. 3 Shillelagh, Starlight, and Stella also ran. Te Whetu was the favorite at 6to 4. The race was well contested, and all the hurdles were taken in excellent style. At the last jump Shillelagh fell, and the contest was left to Whetu aud Kildare, which ended by the former winning by a length. PRESIDENT HANDICAP, Of 90 sovs. One mile and a half. Mr Mason’s Camballo, syrs, 7st 41b .. .. 1 Mr Neiison’s Luna, 4yrs, 7at 9lb 3 Mr Logan’s Cloth of Gold, Cyrs, 7st Clb .. .. 3 Sir James and Chancellor also ran. Mufti was scratched. Camballo was the favorite at 6 to 4 ; 6 to 1 against Luna and Chancellor. Camballo won easily by several lengths. Time, 2min. 51^sec. The Selling Bace, of 40 sovs., was a walkover for Mr. Newman’s Tommy. THE GRAND STAND HANDICAP, Of 60 sovs. Mr Mason’s Camballo, 4yrs, 7st 121 b I Mr Smith’s Benjiroe, aged, 7sfc 51b 3 Mr Swanson's Blue Peter, aged, 7st 131 b.. _ ~ 3 Lady Ellen, The Agent, and Sapphira also ran, and Chancellor and Luna were scratched. Camballo again won easily. Time, 2min. 21£sec.
