SALE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF CARTERTON NORTH.

There was a crowded attendance at Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonald and Co/s Exchange Land Mart yesterday, when Mr. Macdonald submitted the township of Carterton North for sale. The bidding was spirited, but looking at the fact that the township is settled, and is one of the most prosperous in tho Wairarapa, the prices realised, although fair, will doubtless load to a large profit to the investors in a short time. The following are tho nos. and prices realised :
