Auctions tN THE EXCHANGE LAND HART, THIS DAY, ON FRIDAY, 29th NOVEMBER, 1878, At 2.30 o’clock p.m. GREAT SPECIAL LAND SALE. TOWNSHIP OF CARTERTON NORTH. T KENNEDY MACDONALD & CO. , are favored with instructions from Joseph Nathan, Esq., to offer for sale by public auction, on the above date— The whole of that MAGNIFICENT SECTION of LAND numbered 213 on the plan of Carterton, and which has been subdivided into Two Hundred and Sixty-eight FIRST - CLASS BUILDING AND BUSINESS SITES, forming THE TOWNSHIP OF CARTERTON NORTH. There are Thirty Lots fronting the Main Road from Wellington to Masterton, and NEARLY OPPOSITE the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH and the Residence of the Rev, Father Halbwach’s, each having a frontage of 33 feet by a depth varying from 97 feet to 133 feet; and which for Business Sites cannot be surpassed in any Township in the Wairarapa. There are Two Hundred and Thirtyeight Lois, each containing one-quarter of an Acre, and having frontages to Chables-strbet, Frederick-stheet, Phiup-street, Gertrudestreet, and Raohel-street, each of which streets are from 59 to 66 feet in width. The Railway Line passes close to the rear of the allotments at Rachel-street. The greater portion of the allotments are knee-deep in grass, the land being thoroughly cleared and free from stumps, a greater portion of it having cost fully £25 per acre to bring it to its present admirable condition. On some of the back and side allotments a small quantity of bush has been left, amongst which will be found some first-class totara and other splendid timber. No township in the Wairarapa is making such rapid progress in material wealth and prosperity as Carterton, its trade and freedom from floods giving it special advantages ; and investors there can rely upon receiving immediate and handsome returns for their outlay. The Land now offered (has lain unoccupied, save by cattle, in the heart of the township for years, and it is only at the pressing request of a large number of the residents that the proprietor has at last determined to comply with their wishes and throw it open for investment. Terms:—lo per cent, deposit-, balance, if purchase money does not exceed £IOO, by bills at 3,6, 9, and 12 months; if over £IOO by bills at 3,6, 9, 12, IS, and IS months, with interest added at 8 per cent. This is an opportunity not to be neglected, and the best advice the Auctioneers can give their friends and clients is to go and inspect the land, when they will at onee see its admirable character and great value.
