To be raised under authority of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1870. The Treasurer of the Borough of New Plymouth is authorised by the Borough Council to receive applications at the price of net less than £IOO for every £IOO Debenture, payable as follows : £lO per cent, on application The Balance, December 31, 1878 ; and to state that the half-yearly dividends will be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, New Plymouth, or at any branches of the bank, on January Ist and July Ist, from year to year, until June 30th, 1890, when the Debentures will be paid. Coupons will be attached to the Debentures, and every six months the holder of 1 debenture will be paid £3 10s. The securities for due payment of the dividends are : Ist. The Borough Fund. 2nd. The Special Rate. 3rd. The Rents derivable from Borough Reserves. 4th. The Water Rate. Applications must be made in the annexed form and accompanied with a deposit of 10 per cent on the amount applied for, which will be returned if no allotment is made.
